How to set up SMS/Text Reminders for Yourself with Gmail

1. In Gmail

Go to Setting > See all setting > Filters and Blocked Addresses > Create a new filter

2. Find your phone number’s email address

Do a quick Google search if your service isn’t listed below.

3. In Gmail (again)

With your computer or phone, schedule yourself an email for the time you’d like to be reminded. Include “appt” (or whatever your magic word is) somewhere in the subject or body so that it gets triggered to text you.

4. That’s it! Your new, reminder system is ready.
